In my first year of college, our college gave everyone a free 1-year LinkedIn Premium.
And honestly?
I wasted it like a pro. 😂
Back then, I had no idea how LinkedIn even worked.
I’d open the app, scroll for 2 minutes,
see people posting about getting jobs, promotions, or certifications,
and then close it like, “Yeah… not my thing.”
No networking.
No learning.
Not even one message sent.
The only thing I gained from LinkedIn Premium that year…
was the satisfaction of saying, “I have LinkedIn Premium.” 😭
Fast forward a year - premium expired.
And that’s exactly when I started using LinkedIn properly.
I started posting my thoughts, my journey, my mistakes, my small wins and people actually connected with it.
That’s when it hit me !
LinkedIn isn’t just for job seekers.
It’s for people who are figuring things out,
just like me.
Now LinkedIn has become my comfort place.
It’s where I share my ups, my downs, and everything in between.
Some days I write to express.
Some days I write to learn.
But every single time ,
I feel heard.
Crazy how I once ignored this app completely…
and now it’s the first one I open every morning. ☕
And the funniest part?
Now our college doesn’t even give LinkedIn Premium anymore.
